Photo by: Jeff Yokomura Getting the Shaft
Eventually, you will have a bad bearing, bent shaft, or broken shaft and you will need to swap out a shaft. Jeff goes over the basics of swapping regular non c-clip axles shafts on the Dana 44. Superior Axle & Gear provides some heavy duty shafts to replace a stock shaft that was bent.
Sold! Calrocs, Carnage for the Con
Many off-roaders pay lip service to the dreaded trail closers and what should be done to prevent the behaviors of a few that are leading to them. Few actually do anything about it other than buying a sticker or t-shirt. But on July 4, 2002 four clubs, URJB, Sierra Rock Crawlers, Pirates of the Rubicon, and the Tin Benders, heeded the call to arms by Rich Klein and put their rigs where their mouths are, to benefit Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR), a cause worthy of those who honor the famed Rubicon Trail, and all it stands for.

Cedar City played host to the third event on the RCAA circuit. With some awesome hill climbs and incredible off-camber sections, this event tested both driver and rig to the extreme. Check out all the scores and photos from this thrilling event!
A new Ladder Bar for Project DIY
After years of patching and repairing my old ladder bar it was finally time to build a new one. There were a few shortcomings to the original design that I wanted to improve upon and some changes that I'd wanted to make.

Kenneth Wade Shupe was determined to come back to the second ERoCC event of the year to show that his April unlimited division win was no fluke. The rock jockey tore up the course, turning in a two day total of 13 points, nearly cutting his April score in half, and taking top honors at the June event.
Ox Locker Install in a Cherokee XJ Dana 44
Phase II of the Project SkyMiles Cherokee XJ continues with the installation of the new OX Locker in the Dana 44 rear axle. The OX works great, and like a spool it's completely predictable. The OX Locker makes 4-wheeling fun!
CTM Compared CTM Racing Dana 44 U-Joints
So you spent the money on a custom Dana 44 with all the bells and whistles for the front of your Jeep. Now that you have progressed to the extreme trails, you discovered you need to step up from the 33" tires you are running. Now you break front axle u-joints regularly. So what are your options? Recently Jack Graef from CTM Racing came out with another solution, unbreakable u-joints.
Offroad Innovations Mud Flaps
Many States are now requiring that 4x4's wear mud flaps when driving on the road or highway. Sooner or later, if you don't have them, you're going to get pulled over and get a ticket.
