Changing an Axle Shaft U-Joint at Home
Changing front axle shaft U-joints, what could be simpler? If you are asking that question you have obviously never dealt with severely rusted joints from an older street driven Jeep that's never been in 4wd and has an open knuckle front end. Many a Jeeper has discovered that newly acquired Jeep that has 'never been off-road' equals rusted front axle shaft U-joints that are thoroughly seized into the shafts as well. |

Work Bench/Tool Storage Chest
Have you ever noticed how thin and flimsy most tool chests and work benches are that you buy from the market? Not to mention the cost of these light weight units! I was in need of a storage chest big enough to hold my handtools and a welding bench strong enough to withstand the rigors of some serious fabrication and pounding.... I needed all of this without the cost normally associated with a unit this big. |

Ham Radio - increase your off-road communications abilities
Amateur radio, or Ham radio as it is comonly known, offers far greater communications possibilities for off-roaders when compared to CBs or Family Radio service radios. Most mobile Ham radios opperate in FM mode, which gives a much clearer signal when compared to a CB. Mobile Ham radios typically have 50 watts or more of broadcast power, which gives them far greater range than a CB. Getting your Ham license is very easy. |

The solution is to insert lift blocks and/or an OME Add-a-Leaf into my existing spring pack, adding some lift and increasing the spring rate. |

Winch Hook: A tool to increase winch saftey
I never like to wear gloves around pinch hazards like winches, but I always like to wear gloves around puncture hazards like winch lines! This Minute Mod should help to alleviate that dilemma by giving you a tool to control the wire rope from just enough distance so you will not have your fingers pulled into the winch or your hand punctured by any frayed strands of wire. |

Sierra Trek 2001
Meadow Lake, California- Once again, the California Association of 4Wheel Drive Clubs and the hundreds of volunteers and committee members put on one heck of an event. As in years past, people from all across the United States made the "trek" to Meadow Lake, California for the 35th Annual Sierra Trek. For those that have never attended Trek, this event is one of the largest events in California. It's three days of some of the best 4wheeling around. From mild and scenic tours through historic areas around Meadow Lake to the rugged and challenging short wheelbase (SWB) route over the Fordyce Creek trail. |
