Short Cuts
DENVER, Colo. June, 2002: Join the Colorado Full Size Jeep Association and
fellow jeep enthusiasts for a 40th anniversary celebration of the introduction
of the full- sized Jeep Wagoneer and J-series pickup. The festivities will take
place in Ouray, Colorado and surrounding areas on August 15 to 17, 2002.
Planned activities center around multi-skill level, off-highway trail rides,
as well as contests, giveaways and a Saturday night barbecue.
The Colorado Full Size Jeep Association has been planning the rally since 1999
and the pre-event buzz indicates that full-size Jeep lovers from all over the
world are planning to attend. The current unofficial count is 380 vehicles and
1,000 participants. The celebration focuses on full-size Jeeps and is limited
to owners of 1963-1983 Wagoneers, 1984-1991 Grand Wagoneers, 1974-1983
Cherokees, 1963-1991 J-series trucks, and full-size Jeep military vehicles such
as the M-715. Registration will begin May 2002. For complete event details,
