Specialty Equipment Market Association Show 2001 Isuzus
This year more than any other year, Isuzus popped up all around the Hilton Convention Center. Isuzu showed up with three models at their corporate booth. Isuzu and Italdesign California combined forces to put together the headline vehicle in the booth, the Axiom XSF. With all the go-fast goodies on the XSF, Isuzu and ARB pulled together to create a stout off-highway showcase, with the ARB Project Compass Trooper. Lastly, Isuzu teamed up with darn near the whole assortment of SEMA member vendors, to show off the variety of off-the-shelf aftermarket products can be installed on an otherwise stock Rodeo.
Isuzu's Corporate display booth housed three feature vehicles: the Axiom XSF, ARB Project Compass Trooper, and the Isuzu Clipper Rodeo.
As noted, it wasn't just Isuzu showing off their vehicles... Other vendors build feature vehicles to show their gear, too. They look for the snazziest chassis to stage their aftermarket products, and as good as the Axiom looked last year on Isuzu's display....

...it came as no surprise to see Isuzu's Axiom all around the SEMA show in 2001.
Planet Audio showcased a tall and wide Axiom, loaded with their vendors' stereo gear. With custom rims and All-Terrain tires, this forest green Isuzu towered above the other Axioms in the courtyard, which were lowered for a different function. These two axioms sported larger, wider rims, and lower-profiled tires, suggesting that they were built to go fast through the cones, where the Planet Audio Axiom could have gone write over them!
Planet Audio showed up with this muscular, lifted Axiom....
...but other vendors opted for lower Axioms, hunkered down for performance in the twisty stuff.
