Anybody have a 1979 wiring schematic?? I am trying to adapt a 1979 6 cylinder wiring harness to a V8 motor. Other than the obvious Delco vs Motorcraft alternator differences, there are subtle differences in the colors of the wires from 77 to 79. The coil jumper is a combined deal with a red w/black trace (+)and a light blue wire (-) which disappears back to the fuseblock. According to my 77 diagram, there should be a green lead from this terminal(-) to the igintion box. Its easy enough to run a jumper between those 2 points but where does the light blue wire go? I still need a wire to the solenoid from the switch too so I need some help with that one. Can someone scan their diagram and send it to me? A 1980 or 81 might work too

I have a Haynes with wiring schematics...I will try and post some pics of it tomorrow evening after work.

I'm working on it. My scanner isn't working, and I left my digi camera at a friend's house, but I will have it up by the end of this weekend.

Thanks, Jim, Brown. I found some diagrams at Autozone.com in thier repair manual section. They helped and I think I have it done up right. The thing that threw me was two of the wires were connected with a rubber piece that made em fit at the solenoid or the coil. According to the diagram, the blue lead from the ignition switch was supposed to go to the solenoid and the red/black trace was supposed to go to the (+)coil then a seperate green lead went to the coil from the ign. module. I changed out the distributor with the one that has both connections that go to the module. All I have to do is crimp some bullet connectors to new wires and I think I am done. We shall see when I get done rebuilding my tilt column and turn the key, lol. Thanks again guys for your input.
