Is this timing cover worth replacing?
      05/24/06 12:44 AM

Is this timing cover trashed? Do new timing covers have the tracks down the side for the timing chain like the first two pictures? I have never taken a 22R or 22RE apart and don’t know what to expect. Also, there are some good gouge marks in the water pump propeller area. Is that bad? That might have been caused by this http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=887429&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1

Is it worth the $50 for a new timing cover? Thanks for all the advice lately, I’m a newbie at this stuff.
