factory roofrack retrofit?
      12/21/05 08:18 PM

My RS does not have a factory roofrack and I'd sure like one. I'm guessing the RS Troopers probably got the same rack as the regular Troopers, but the guy at AHI told me he's never seen a 2nd Gen. Trooper with a factory roof rack. I've seen plenty of them on the road though, so I dunno.
Does anybody know exactly how they are mounted/secured to the roof? Is there a special, reinforced area on the roof that my Trooper may or may not have, or does it simply screw onto the sheet metal?
Also, are the Troopers' racks bigger/wider than the Rodeos'? AHI has plenty of Rodeo roofracks available, but it seems like they're a little bit narrow on a Trooper.
