There normally is (on all the 4.0 HO motors there are) timing marks on the pulley, just not a way to adjust timing. I'm saying just check it, don't adjust it. Make sure it isn't running to far advanced or too far retarded. Also the distributor can be moved and if it was knocked, it will be running off.
