Thanks - see my photo and idea in my last post - I "think" I found a way.... I'll see tomorrow.
The nylon filter was there behind the plate that is bolted to the case behind the governor - I assume that's the screen you're talking about.
So far I have to say the parts look good even though the case was full of water - probably recent - what's confusing is that the case is completely contaminated (some of it may be my doings) yet no parts so far look like they've seen heat. I am confused about the loose center support bolt on the sun gear assembly, though.
I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the number of clutches in this thing - whoever figured out how to get 150 lbs of crap in a 50 lb case is a genius and if I ever get it put together so it works, it'll be a miracle. It could be intimidating if I was smart enough to recognize intimidation - usually I just smash anything (or anyone) that tries to intimidate me. I keep telling myself that I'm nuts to do this, yet I'm curious enough to have the patience to try it.
