DRIVE SHAFT PROBLEM

I can't get the 4 little bolts that hold the front drive shaft on the end that goes on the transfer case. I see where they go but they wont fit and if i did get them to fit some how i wouldnt be able to use any tool to get in on there good. I hope i'm making sense here b/c it's hard to explain without looking at it. Hopefully someone out there knows what i'm talking about and knows the solution.
