1998 Brakes & Manual
      04/05/05 02:11 PM

My 1998 4runner brakes are about gone, lots of shaking when braking. I'm guessing front rotors are warped bad. I've read the archived posts and seems folks on this board like Brembo rotors ( what about DiscItalia? ). What about pads for those rotors? Any tips of selecting a pad for them, ceramic vs. kevlar for example or what brand is good stuff ?

I'm thinking of buying from brakeworld.com, they seem to have a good selection.

Also what is the deal when some people list a different part number for the limited model 4runner? Both the Limited and SR5 have 16 rims, so why would some companies offer 2 part numbers with a few dollar difference.

Last of all, is changing my brakes going to be fairly straight forward (I need an easy button)

Any tips on where to get a deal on a Factory Service Manual..seems like it comes in 2 volumes? Which vol. would have brake information.

Thks
