2001 4runner - brake pedel to the floor

First post.

The brakes on my 2001 4runner stop the car just fine. But when stopped, I can press the brake pedal to the floor. There is substantial resistance, but nevertheless it goes all the way to the floor. Is this normal?

I just bought it six weeks ago.
