Re: Interesting Muffler... Science or Snake Oil?
      06/10/04 03:20 AM

I have seen it on TV. It operates just as it is named I guess, like a turbine, or maybe a ramjet (I don't know, I'm no airplane guy!)Or like a wing that is folded into a circle, so the air travelling on the outside moves faster than that on the inside, causing the scavenging effect as it leaves.

I was really looking into these a few months ago, but haven't taken the plunge on any exhaust system yet (new house purchase). They are NOT a one size fits all. Go to the "Buy a Muffler" section and you will see the different I/O diameters they have, from 2.5" up to 4". They also have resonators, but I have never really been sure what a resonator is for???

Maybe you and I should be the first to try these?
