Okay, lemme see if i have a handle on this. Here is the OE case:

So... an adaptor could theoretically go in between the t-case (an NP231) and the tranny... which is to the LHS of the t-case pictured, except replace the Mitsu unit pictured with this t-case:

Do I have this straight? Any other issues besides the end of each driveshaft needing to be modified? Is the NP231 a straight shot out the back, to keep the same angle as the OE case? I assume you could clock the NP231 adaptor so that the angle on the front driveshaft would be the same as stock... or we could correct for lift in the adaptor, eh? What about clearance issues?

And the NP231 stock would give us all the options for those ultra-low geared t-cases, would it not?

How big a job is an adaptor to fab? And am I missing something, or is this a fairly straigtforward option?

PHIL
