Idles smoother when pressing brake- vacuum leak?
      03/04/12 09:23 PM

Subject says it. Idle is pretty rough but when I tap the brake down it smooths for just a moment. I'm pretty sure that's a sign of a vacuum leak but I'm not sure if its the sign of a bad booster too.

Also after fueling it up, I drove down the street a mile or so and then it kept dying on me. Then, it cleared up a couple of miles down the road. Its done it twice since then. I'm thinking that since the tank was pretty low when I put a few gallons in it, it stirred up sediment and clogged the fuel filter. Does that sound about right?

Thanks for any and all suggestions- without this board my truck would have been sold by now for lack of good advice!
