Is it worth parying out?? 1990 ,1985, montero
      12/10/11 11:01 AM

I am going to be pulling the motor out of the 1990 montero putting it in the newer 97 I have I know thats going to be under powered. But $$ is tight and the 3.0 runs great. I plan on keeping the 3.5 and working on gettting it running and putting it back in the 97 later on. I am not sure if I should just take the 90 and the 85 in for scrap just to get some $$ out of them.

1985 has 180K+ on it But does have a New 5 speed yes a new 5 speed less then 1200 miles on it. What might the tranny be worth? Is there any thing els that might be worth pulling of it? Motor is gone.

1990 has 170k+. Has an Auto works well But at that many miles does any one realy want it? The rear end I belive has a LSD that was put in by the last owner. Would the rear be somting I should try to pull. Going to make it a pain to move it after I do that. I all so have a new well less then 3k on a upper control arm. Is a Dealer only part. ($160)

What do you guys think. Should I try to part it out at all or just scrap it and be done with it. Thanks for your help.
