For your purposes, the auto hubs, which are much, much, more common, will do just fine, and you don't get your feet muddy. Don't know if you can go from 2hi to 4hi and have the cad work and then the hubs lock up at 62mph (the 2hi to 4hi shift speed limit) without grenading the hubs, but they are fairly tough. They are a biotch to remove from a donor - the bolts round out. I use an allen socket and a breaker bar, and put it under unscrew tension short of round off, and whang the swivel of the breaker bar with a bfh to shock the fastener loose.
