Heheh... sounds like the 'cat is away Ray, so the mouse will have to play! :) Do you have the modified chevy socket for the lockring? I think I bought the one for the 3/4 ton chevy, and then ground two teeth off of it. Sorta like this guy, but not all in the middle . Its not perfect, but it is a lot easier/more precise to r&r the lock ring with it, rather than tapping a screw driver in circles...
Good luck! As far as CV boots, do you HAVE to do em, or are you just feeling ambitious? I'd avoid that job until it was absolutely necessary (ie visible tears in the boot). But that's just me. I'm too wimpy to run 35s, so you definitely don't want my advice!
