Head gasket symptoms if it was done wrong on a 2.6
      10/18/09 09:08 AM

I just bought a parts truck, the previous owner did change the head gasket but didn't check the head for warp or cracks. The engine is running but:
1- It has an oil leak under the exhaust manifold (didn't check where it comes from at this time)
2-Lots of engine oil gets out of the muffler (emptying the engine)
3- White smoke

Does this engine is toasted, and how do i find out if it's worth investing in a new head?
