My "New" Truck

Today I made a very impulsive buy when I saw a sad little '89 2WD Mighty Max 2.0L 5-spd M/T with 273K miles that a former Desert Storm USN fellow wanted to sell for $200.... so I saved it from the crusher. It's an unmolested one-owner.... originally bought locally and has spent its entire life here on our salt-free roads.
The bedliner was apparently installed when new.... when I lifted the rear edge of it, the bed floor paint is still shiny. The seats are shot, the shocks are worn out, the A/C seals leak, but the transmission, clutch and rear end seem fine. There are a couple of small dents, but nothing else - and as far as I can tell, it's never been in an accident.
The windshield has a side-to-side crack. Closing the doors and the tailgate brought a smile to my face - they operate like they're new.... and the door seals are perfect.
The oil feels a little slick - maybe an additive is in it..... and the oil pressure idiot light won't go out even if it's revved, but since the fellow drove it to me without it blowing up, I'm guessing it's only the pressure switch.... otherwise, the engine starts and runs fine - a little rough like it needs some TLC.... we'll see.... might be worn out - might not be. After parking it on a concrete pad all day, there are no oil drips anywhere.
I figure if I treat it to a cheap paint job, a windshield, some seats, 15 or 16" wheels and tires..... it'll make a good light-duty run-around truck, but I don't know a thing about these little pups.
What do you guys think? Should I keep it?
Oh - I doubt I'll keep the Yahweh sticker.
