FJ60; worth getting?

I found a good deal on a mid eighties TLC and i was thinking about picking it up, but i wasn't sure if it would be worth toying with. it has a mystery non working engine but otherwise in decent shape (for an 87 or whatever).
My real question is how many lockers do these come with, is there a way to tell from the vin so i don't have to go out of my way to check, how strong are the stock axles, if i fix it and decide i hate driving it would it be easy to re-sell?
