My friend and I were wheelin today, he was in an 89 Cherokee 4.0L and I was in my 89 lwb. We had a great time and on the way home we decided to have a friendly drag race. I was a tad faster off the line but once we got out of 1st he killed me, by the time we hit 65 he was a solid 5-6 lengths in front of me. We were both really surprised as his jeep is a pile. My montero's been running really sluggish recently but he still beat me by quit alot, guess now I have a motivator to break out the wrenches and see whats wrong. I had a passenger and the jeep was just a driver.

Anyone know the HP of a stock Cherokee(he has no mods).
BTW, speed limit was 55mph, we went to about 65, no one else was around, 2 lanes each way.
