losing tranny fluid
      09/10/07 03:28 PM

My '98 TJ (4 cyl. auto) started leaking tranny fluid about a week ago. I found the leak coming from one of the trans cooler lines going to the radiator. It's rusted right at the clip on the side of the oil pan (motor) that holds it in place. It looks like and expensive part to replace. Can the offending section be cut out and flex line be put in place? How much pressure/heat are these lines subjected to? I've seen alot of cars with short sections of hose used to connect the line to the radiator. I know it's butch, but will it work?
