Here's a picture of the crankshaft where the chunk is missing - right at the edge of the front dust lip on the seal:
After filing the edges and cleaning with acetone, a glob of JB Weld is applied as filler:
Allowed to set overnight, the JB Weld is "worked" with a file and the forward area where the balancer/pulley seats is filed for nick removal and polished with 1000 grit wet/dry paper:
 Here's the repair sleeve:
 And the installation tool:
A sealant is needed to prevent oil seepage between the crankshaft and the repair sleeve - some folks use RTV, but I used sleeve retainer:
After cleaning the sleeve and crankshaft surface with acetone, a liberal coating of sleeve retainer was applied to both and the repair sleeve was installed by gently tapping it into place with a plastic hammer against the installation tool until the front lip of the sleeve was seated:
Cleanup is with acetone and the repair is complete:
The adhesive will be given a few hours to set before the oil pump is installed.
