I think my hole is in the front 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the tank.
I looked the other day and the skid plate took a beating the last time I was out wheeling. Looks like I kissed a rock pretty good because I've now got a 0.5" - 1" deep by 3" - 4" inches wide by 6" - 8" inches long dent in the skid plate. This is what probably cracked the tank and would also explain why my range is less than ever before.
My mileage is still the same, but range is about 50 - 75 miles less than before.
It seams to leak more when parked up hill vs. down hill, so I'm thinking the crack might be across the tank instead of length wise.
Either way, I'd still like to know what Suzuki tank will fit so I can look for one of these at a salvage yard before putting down $150 plus shipping to get one from www.kiaparts.com.
Not enough salvage yards around here and the ones that do don't have Sportages in them.
