my leak was from a crack in the bottom of the tank not far from the drain plug. the crack was about a quarter inch in length and i tried everything except soldering and nothing worked. i figured replacing the tank for $250.00 was cheaper than spending $15.00 a day for gas to and from work. i still haven't taken any pics of the tank that came out, but will eventually.
