Ok I want to swap out all the stupid little white lights in the switches.......some are bad and some are......well boring

anyways,has anyone done this?and if not why?They can put leds in anything nowadays.
I've read some and my brain hurts now,but they all seem to be very low voltage etc.But how to go about making them work?In the basic 12volt lighting purpose.
The popular ricers can have about anything led,and no I don't wanna be a Ricer

but the same ol' same o' is

And to make it even more difficult I want blue.
Any good links to read up on?That are easy to understand with a generic public school edumuncation
