Well, mainly what I wanted was the fuel economy of the 22RE. I know a lot of people say that it won't get any better MPG than the 3.0.And this may be true, if you drive them in mainly flat country.But I live where there are two directions,UP and DOWN(I climb 1200' on the way home from work every day). And my old 4 runner with a 22RE got 18-19 mpg back and forth to work with 31"11.50's.My buddys 4runner with 22RE got 19-20mpg with 32's.And several of my friends drive 3.0 pickups with stock tires and get 15mpg in the same terrain with stock tires.I'm sure on a mainly flat freeway they would get as good as the 22RE. But not around here( I'm sure there are ecceptions to this rule).The 4runner I have now I just bought Yesterday. It has a good running 3.0 But the clutch is shot. The only reason I bought it was because I got it real cheap and it is ultra clean with new wheels and tires. Otherwise I would have just bought one with a 22RE.It is nice enough that I may just swap a 22RE into it instead of fixing the clutch and selling it to buy a 22RE 4runner which may not be as nice.Anyhow, Thanks for the help----Tom
