Well now that I have some time I'll finish this up.

It’s alive!

It took it for its first run yesterday. And it ran great! The suspension needs some work. It squeaks abit and the shocks feel abit splashy. And there is defiantly more noise coming into the cab compared with my trooper. But it looks like it will be a great rig. I was defiantly surprised with the lack of power. It’s pretty surprising that my 2000 trooper with 35’s and stock gears feels peppy compared with the amigo. But I’m sure I’ll gain a few hp once it breaks in.

I do have a couple things left to do. I have to fill up the AC system with oil and Freon. Until then I have the AC compressor clutch switch wire unplugged. I have to set the temperature on the electric fan control unit. I have to install the new audio system. And get a replacement mounting foot for the flex-a-lite fan shroud. (I lost one) I also have to deal with a transmission leak. It looks like its leaking where the transmission mates together. Not too much of a problem. I’ll just pull the rear Trans mount, separate the Trans, clean it off and squirt on some more RTV sealant.

Some things I’m going to mod in the coming months. I think I’m going to install a Delta cam, at about 4k. That will give me an excuse to adjust the valve lash exc. And I’m going to change out the exhaust. I have a pace setter header, (which was too long to use with the current exhaust system. Also, the current exhaust has about 3 or 4 good leaks so it needs to be changed out.

I did have some small problems I forget to put in the previous post.

I had to swap out the starter. It was making some bad sounds like it was not disengaging from the flywheel when I first started it up. The new starter seams to work fine.

Also, I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my posts. (And Yeah I know there was allot of them ) I don’t think I could have gotten this thing done so quickly if I didn’t have all the great advice! Thanks!!!
