1. I have absolutely no idea. Actually I’ve never driven a car with a 2.6, let alone even driven in a first gen Amigo. So it should be interesting when I make the first test drive. Oh and I’ve only driven a stick about 2 times before. So again it should be fun.

2. The cam is the stock one I got out of the trooper head. I have a performance cam (a Delta I think), but it was in the Amigo head that warped, so I’m not sure if the cam out of it is usable. But I’m planning to send that one and another (new) one I got with the rebuild kit, to Delta. And in a couple hundred miles I had planned to pull the valve cover off so I could check the head bolts, check the valve lash, and install the new cam. It should give me a good idea of the differences between the two.

3. They bored it out to 50 over. And I think that’s what it said on the top of the pistons. But he said they had to bore it out that much just because of one cylinder that was really pitted and scored.

4. The total cost? I’m not really sure. I haven’t kept track of it. And I’m replacing allot of things that you probably wouldn’t have to replace. But If I had to guess I’d say between $1300 and $1500 when I’m done. But again that’s with allot of new parts. Like a new radiator, electric fan, fan control, all new hoses, clutch, cam, rebuild kit, lots of parts cleaner, lots of spray paint, some new tools, a new air cleaner, oil, filter, and I’m sure I’m missing lots of other stuff. You could probably cut that down to 800 or 900 pretty easy. If you just rebuild it and put it back together.
