Any electronics store should carry those , such as a radio shack and stuff.They almost look like speaker connection type plugs.I'll be ordering the cable my next payday 
I do believe my palm uses a USB from the computer , then its almost like a firewire port on the palm pilot as its very tiny.I was thinking more along the lines oif just hooking the palm up sometimes so I don't have to lug the laptop around if I want a quick diagnostic.Maybe if I can find a USB to serial adapater if there is such a thing.
