ok, baja, but shhhhhhhhhh...............
it's called "the Den." it is located inside the city limits of San Antonio. it is, literally, Leon Creek and has been debated as to whether or not it is legal 'wheeling since the 70's. however, recently, within the past 3 years or so, information has surfaced that it is irrefutably not legal, hence, my hesitation. the odd thing is that we run it with a couple cops during club meetings and nothing is ever mentioned about legality. no one that i know of has ever received a ticket or even a warning and there are no posted signs or barricades to keep anyone out. the trails have been there forever and even though it is not legal, it seems the city is perfectly willing to allow driving them, at least for now. if you do a search for my other photos, you will see there are many more difficult obstacles at the Den (originally called "Devil's Den" but changed by us 4 wheelers due to a few criminal acts that took place down in it). of course, though, it is nothing like what i've seen photos of at K-rocks, but then i also used to run "the slab" or the Llano river bed, which IS a LOT like K-rocks, so, almost been there, almost done that, but not quite. anyway, there is one more run at K-rocks, i think, for regulars or comp guys or something, not for the rest of us, then it's waiting until spring........
tanks, rob, let's hit Las Cruces one these days, it's about half way for both of us!
