Glad I could be of help, as this is a confusing decision to have to make! If you're not going to tow loads or off-road it much, the SR will probably be fine. I guess the S means speed rated? I'm not sure which one I have, but I know they are rated to haul heavy loads, etc., so I suppose it's the R. They do great at speed, as well. I regularly drive 80 on the Interstate (that's a freeway for all you northerners and westerners!) with no problems and it's really smooth. The SR is probably a lighter tire, which will help with gas mileage, if it is. Hope that helps.
