Quote: I hate it when that happens. Could the problem be with the push button, on the gear shift lever, that disengages the OD? Bob Shaw
Or the O/D temp switch on the intake? Mine went out on me and it would just drop out of O/D when it felt like it. It always went out when I went up a hill. It was just ironic. Un plug the connector from temp switch and ground it temporarily, then drive it and see if the O/D works properly. I'd hate to see someone get rid of a vehicle for a bad ground. Mine would drop out then work for a week then drop out again. even if it seems to work sometimes, just do the test. It will not cost a penny to test this. The sensor is a single pin style, any service manual will list it's location.
