try plugging the hose that feeds the EGR actuator just to see what happens? I had to do that after making a bunch of changes to my truck. With the EGR working correctly I had a huge flat spot between 1800 and 2800RPM. I pulled the actuator line and plugged it with a golf T and Zoom! it had mid range again. Its worth a try?
