after troubleshooting it this morning... im convinced its the sprark. but im still confused as to why. heres my quandrie... when we originally tried to fire it up to bleed the brakes the it basically did nothing except turn over. then we noticed that the plug going into the distributor was not wired correctly. (the plug was different on the donor, so i swapped it out with mine. i matched up with the colors on the wire... then after trying to start it we noticed that the wires didnt match further up the harness at the connector) the whole wire from the connector and distributor was aftermarket. so i rewired it to match up with the harness, not the wires. it made sense because that wire had already been spliced prior to me getting my grubby little paws on it. could trying to start it, with those wires going into the distributor in essense, backwards, have messed up the firing order? almost forgot havnt put a timing light to it... dont have one. any other way to check the firing order?
