It would be cheaper to get a box/open combination wrench (box on one end, open end on the other). Those wrenches have an angle offset that allows the box (closed) ring to be placed over the plug and the other end is at a good angle so it can be tapped with a hammer without damaging the wrench - yet transfers good force to the plug. If you can find one that has a 6-point (instead of a 12-point) design it would probably be your best tool for the job.
