Probably true, at least in this case.

I guess my point is that I don't think cranking the bars is a good way to run our IFS off-road, and I didn't make that clear. And the same goes for using the spacers as lift instead of readjusting the bars to use them solely for the increased travel benefits.

Yes, increasing travel also creates problems as you stated, but I guess we have to balance those against the problems/drawbacks that severly limited travel has.
