Now with the shims pushing the upper A-Arm up wont this cut down on up travle? I think this could be really hard on T-bars. And if I where to do this I would want to crank down my T-bars so I could keep it at the level its at now. To do that, should I put in some 26mm T-bars? I know that this will give me a travel gain and make the truck a little bouncy. But what risks run with doing this? I know to get rid of the bounce I would crank up my shocks.

The shims, or spacers as I like to call them since shims are usually very thin, don't do any pushing, the weight of your truck does that. You would have to increase the weight to increase the force at rest. As for the added up travel, it will twist the bar farther. If fact it will twist it the same as a 1.5" t-bar adjustment, but with the spacer you retain down travel and a smoother ride. Many of us has a 1.5" adjustment and our trucks are holding up year after year therefore I can't see that being an issue. Further more, you should enjoy more flex in low speed sitations.

Stiffer bars will drastically decrease flex. The window of travel, however, is uneffected. Basically with stiffer springs you need more force to get it to flex. This is great if your are into jumping, bad if you like to run trails.

I assume by cranking shocks to address bounce you mean adjustable Rancho 9000's? They are the only shocks that I know of which you can adjust. They only effect down travel dampning. I'd go with a Bilstien for that money. It's a much better shock.

I would categorize this as a low risk mod given it's simplicity.
