Charging: Voltage regulator- alternator putting out high volts.
      02/02/04 09:24 AM

My Monty has been running at about 15.7 volts lately and since my time has been limited, I took it to a friend of mine that is a mechanic. He said that it needs a new regulator, but he can't locate one without buying an all new alternator. The dealer wants $275 and carquest was the cheapest at $170. Does anyone have the Mitsubushi part # for a voltage regulator for a 95 LS 3.0L. Also, does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket alternators, either good or bad.
