FYI: Montero Designations (NH, HL, etc.) vs Generation (Gen I, II, etc.)
      10/07/03 11:14 AM

Okay, while researching the suspensions yesterday, I learned from a shop in Australia the following
No Aust. N.Am
NA 82-83 84-85
NB 84-85 85-86
NC 85-86 86-87
ND 86-87 87-88
NE 87-88 88-89
NF 88-89 89-90
NG 89-91 90-91
NH 91-93 92-94
NJ 93-96 94-97
NK 96-97 97-98
NL 97-99 98-00
NM 99-00 00-01
NN 00-01 01-02
NO 01-02 02-03
NP 02-03 03-04

Gen I's are NA-NG (84-91)
Gen II's are NH-NK (92-97)
Gen II.5's are NL's (98-99)
Gen III's are NM on (2000-current)

Remember, we recieve our models 1 year after the rest of the world. The earliest N. American Montero's was received in 1984 and is the equivalent of the Pajero NA model.

Additionally 4 door models are called Wagon's in Australia and other parts of the world.
