Re: Engine: Sluggish truck: exhaust leak or cloged cat?
      06/06/02 03:26 PM

Kevin was right on the mark... turned out to be the cat and the muffler. I had some one at work today rev the engine while I booted the hell out of the pipes going up the muffler.

That was followed by a clanging sounds and some catalytic element getting spewed out by the truck. Damn do I go through cats fast.... pita.

Anyways.... I took a BFH to the covertor and knocked most of it out I think for now. Yes I know its not great for the enviro... but it will do untill I can buy another one in a week or so.

So no... not the tranny, although I am suprised Lloyd said that.... [Razz] , especially with only 4k on this tranny... [Big Grin]

And no not the plug wires, even though they need changed.

Thanks guys, cant believe it turned out so simple. I should have "kicked" it yesturday and got all of it squared away.
