Mitsubishi bulletin says to replace woodruff key before reinstalling pulley(dampner). Failing to do so may result in the old key sheering and ,among other things, possibly damaging your crank. I use a length of rope, pulley size, wrap it around the pulley grooves a few times and get someone strong to grip it tight(I just hold it myself)when I'm torquing the bolt, with a torque wrench, to specs. to remove the bolt, the starter trick is the way I go, but I just turn the ignition key ever so slightly, just a bump and you can use your fingers the rest of the way.
