Check your torsion bars- one could have been bent when the cross member bashed.
-Many years ago in my first Montero...uummm...lets just say that alcohol may have been a factor....I was on a date with an...ummm...lets just say ..open to the 4x4 experience kind of girl, and after we left this bar in Connecticut we went for a nice bumpy ride on one of the power line trails. But our fun was cut short when, after going airborn off a small ledge, we hit so hard the torsion bars bent, the control arms bent, both shock mounts in front broke off, and my tongue was bleeding for days. Even so, I was able to drive home and then drive 20 miles to a 4x4 garage to fork over the $1400 that my bravado cost me.
Now there was an expensive date.
