I towed 4000lbs around the block with my gen 1 once. That was scary. I wouldn't dare tow 7500 lbs with a gen 2. It's all about the brakes when your towing!

I would hesitate to tow that with a 1/2 ton truck...get a 3/4 ton and tow it.

It's not just not just 'all about the brakes' - although I will agree that the Mitsu brakes are NOWHERE NEAR up to the task of stopping the vehicle + another 7500 lbs.

It's primarily vehicle mass. My uncle tried to put a 5000 lb trailer behind a little cross-over and the trailer pushed the entire thing off the road into a ravine coming down a gravel road. If you get enough trailer weight, it'll drive your vehicle for your - and not where you want it to, either.

Trying to tow twice your vehicle weight even with trailer brakes is just not a very bright idea.
