I'll be talking to my agent today. Since the kid filed a claim against my insurance, I have a call scheduled for first thing tomorrow morning to mount a defense and see if my carrier won't deny his claim at a minimum, pursue damages on my behalf if I'm lucky.

The past couple weeks have been an absolute nightmare. I've been stranded at midnight without a phone and had to walk home, had my new truck totaled less than a month after buying it, and now, just went out and hopped in the truck to drive across town to do some exploring with a buddy on the far side of Phoenix. Topped off the oil (half a quart low), topped off the coolant (same), jumped behind the wheel for a day of fun.

Bump the starter, engine fires, sort of stumbles, and I don't feel like giving it any gas to help it along. Engine dies. No big deal.

Hit the starter again? Click. NOTHING.

Rock it back and forth in gear in case it's bound up. Click. NOTHING.

Let it sit for 15 minutes. Click. NOTHING.

Cleaned up the corroded battery terminals, still nothing.

Whack it with a hammer from above. Click. NOTHING.

Search, search, search, search. Ugh. Looks like I'm rebuilding a fraking starter today. Wonderful.
