Two wrongs don't make a right, sir. I've had pretty good luck fighting these things in the past. I don't want to chance Karma dealing me a joker because I got greedy. I did call the PD, though. They told me that once the vehicles have left the scene, they will no longer get involved.

Kid asked me if we needed to call the police at the scene. I said we could, but since he had insurance and admitted fault, I was satisfied things would be taken care of, but if he wanted to call them, I would wait. He declined.

Then, when the truck wouldn't start, he gets back out of his car to ask me if I was okay. I told him I couldn't get the truck started and he offered to stay with me until it did because he didn't want to just leave me stranded there. I told him I was fine, appreciated the sentiment, but he could go, as I'm sure he was going to get it when he got home.

Next thing I know, I hear someone laying on the horn, look back, and see he's just blindly backed out into oncoming traffic and is pulling back in behind me. Wow. I actually stopped trying to get the truck started at that point because I wanted to see if he was going to get shoved right back into me trying leave. They pulled into the Circle K parking lot and made a left turn - going AWAY from his house.

Why do I say all this? Because I just got a call from MY insurance company advising they have had a claim filed against me.

OMFG.

This is going to get u g l y.
