FFS.

It's taken me a little over an hour to calm down enough to see through the red mist.

Called the insurance company. Because I was trying to be a good guy and didn't get the police involved at the scene (ie; there's no police report for the incident), his insurance company is just going to take his word for it. And what is his word? Apparently, he told them he was stopped at a red light, waiting to turn, and I just swerved into him. CLAIM DENIED.

I've got a call into my agent to make DAMN sure he doesn't get a dime to fix his car from my policy. Next order of business is to return to the scene of the accident and start taking mad pictures. I'll be tracking every hour I spend on this documentation. If my agent says he's not filed a claim, I might give his carrier another try, asking them why, if I haphazardly swerved into him while he was stopped at a light, HE didn't call the police (he actually asked me if we had to) or file a claim against my insurance.

If that doesn't work, I'm getting my ducks in a row and taking both he AND his MOM to small claims court for full damages, including the value of my time dealing with the issue. The $1600 in repairs I would have accepted $1000 for has easily just tripled.

So. [censored]. Angry. Right. Now.

And to think, I have to drive past his house to get to work every day.
