This just in: Less than a month after bringing it home, my Raider has been deemed a total loss by Liberty Mutual.

Estimate came out to just over US$1600. Looking over the dude's shoulder, I'm pretty sure I saw that being figured to be 78% of ACV *before* they dinged me for every nitpicking fault they could find - faded paint, less than 30% tread on the tires, existing rock rash, etc..

Now I need to find a bunch of FS listings of rough-around-the-edges 89 Raiders (preferably 2.6/5-speeds) so I can prove the actual cash value is upwards of US$2000 and fight for US$1500 cash to fix it myself (without spending five hours at the DMV getting titles branded and whatnot).

Of course I'm keeping my Raider.
