The stock mechanical fuel pump for the carb motor has a return line so it can run the fuel through continuously to reduce the chance of vapor lock. I used the carbs line as a return for the fuel injection pump.

A picture of how I mounted my fuel pump. The salvage yard pump looks a bit crusty but it worked fine until I broke off one of the terminals. As far as vertical height goes, the floor is not that differant than the cross member and you dont have to deal with having to clear the axle.

The pump does have to draw a bit farther but that is mostly horizontal and is not an issue with the roller style pumps.

I took the stock isolators and fitted them to an aluminum bracket that I had machined. Upgrading the pickup line is a project for later this summer.
